HERKES Charlie (Peebles) Sheila, Craig and Stuart wish to thank relatives, friends, neighbours and all who knew Charlie, for the many expressions of sympathy they have received. Heartfelt thanks go to Rev. Malcolm Jefferson for his comforting words and service at Borders Crematorium, to Peter Grandison for his efficient and sensitive direction of the funeral arrangements, and to Scent of Ginger for the wonderful, bespoke wreath. We gratefully acknowledge the work and efforts of the Emergency Services and Police, and particularly wish to recognise the courage and kindness of those passers-by and nearby residents at Tantah, who did everything they could to help Charlie and to support Sheila and the family through some very difficult hours on 1st September.
