SEVERAL communities are set to get together in a united front against the proposal for a windfarm near Eddleston.
The proposals for the development at Cloich have already unanimously been rejected by the planning committee of Scottish Borders Council.
But the Scottish Government has the final say - and it could conduct a public enquiry before it makes a decision.
James Taylor, a member of Eddleston Community Council, said they were keen to enlist the help of neighbouring community councils of Manor, Stobo and Lyne, Lamancha, Newlands and Kirkurd and Peebles.
But he is waiting to hear from responses from the Energy Consents and Development Unit before taking matters further.
“I wrote to them about 10 days ago to ask about timescales and how we can get involved but I’ve had no response yet,” he told a council meeting this week.
“Maybe we should wait to see what they say before we speak to the other councils about the way ahead.”
