PLANS have been unveiled to turn the former courthouse in Peebles into a hostel.
The listed High Street building has been used as a restaurant and bar as well as housing several retail enterprises since it was bought almost a decade ago.
The most recent owners, Marc and Shona Haslam, have now revealed plans to convert the entire upper-ground floor into a four-bedroom hostel.
The floor, which currently has five business/retail units, will also feature a shared living room, kitchen and drying area.
The change of use application, from retail to hotel/hostel, will be considered by Scottish Borders Council over the coming weeks.
