A LOCAL photographer is in the frame after being recognised by her profession.

Becky Henderson has been snapping up awards ever since launching her EnaMay Photography business in Innerleithen.

And her Chapel Street studio is regularly in demand for portraits of newborns and toddlers.

But now Becky is also being championed by the British Institute of Professional Photography.

Last month she was awarded a Licentiateship by the body for her portrait photography.

Becky told us: "I am delighted to have been awarded a Licentiateship.

"Being self taught and a bit shy, I have held back with my business, but now I have a recognised qualification all the hard work has paid off and it’s now time to go for it.

"I love taking photographs that capture the mood, the feelings and the emotions.

"I work hard so you can re-live those moments every time you see your pictures."

As well as specialising in babies and young children, Becky is also a renowned wedding photographer.

She added: "I enjoy working with natural light and the pureness that goes with it."

The British Institute of Professional Photography is an internationally recognised qualifying organisation with over 100 years of experience in supporting photographers.
