THE former partner of a Tweedbank woman has been jailed for four months after committing two disturbances within 24 hours at her home.

Twenty two year old Christopher Rodgers of Eildon Road in Hawick was already under a number of court orders when he turned up drunk at the teenage female's home in Jura Drive on September 28 and 29.

On the first occasion he slapped her on the body and spat on her leg after she poured the contents of his Vodka bottle down the sink.

The following night he turned up again intoxicated and was verbally abusive towards her.

Sheriff Peter Paterson told Rodgers he had no alternative but to impose a custodial sentence at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.

He said he had been well warned but still went out and got drunk and behaved in an "abominable fashion".
