A DRIVER has been badly hurt in a crash on the A68 at St Boswells.

The two-car collision happened at around 4pm in the village yesterday.

Officers have now confirmed a man was taken to Borders General Hospital with serious injuries, while the other driver was treated by paramedics at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told us: "We were called to St Boswells at 4pm yesterday.

"A Ford Fiesta and a Skoda Roomster were involved in a two-car collision.

"One man was taken to the BGH with serious injuries.

"The road was closed so the vehicles could be recovered.

"It was fully reopened at 6.45pm."
