BORDERERS will be able to find out more about solar renewable energy next week.
Hosted by Change Works, a free information evening will be held in the Burgh Hall on Thursday for locals, businesses and community groups.
From 5.45pm, attendees will have an opportunity to chat to local specialist installers before hearing from Home Energy Scotland experts about the benefits of solar panels, the costs and savings involved and the free, impartial support which is available.
A Resource Efficient Scotland advisor will also be on hand to provide advice and support to local Tweeddale businesses.
Donna Marshall, Change Works in Peebles project manager told us: "This is an ideal event for any local householder, business or community group who has considered installing solar panels or renewables and needs further advice to help make a decision.
"Solar photo voltaics can be a great way to cut your electricity bills.
"Sunlight is free, so once you've paid for the initial installation, your electricity costs can be reduced.
"Change Works in Peebles is here to help and support the local community to find out more about generating solar renewable energy."
You can book your free place online at bit.ly/SolarTweeddale; pop into the Change Works in Peebles hub; email peebles@changeworks.org.uk or call 01721 722810.
