COMMUTERS across Glasgow this morning are facing rail chaos after engineering works weren't completed on schedule.
ScotRail warned passengers of severe disruption as dozens of services were delayed, revised or cancelled due to Network Rail works.
NEW: Colleagues at @NetworkRailScot have let us know that weekend engineering works between #Dalreoch & Dalmuir are taking longer than planned to finish. We will be cancelling and/or altering some services this morning. ^CT pic.twitter.com/xOmWuLyzCo

The work on the Dalmuir to Dalreoch line was due to be completed by 6am this morning after being carried out over the weekend.
However, the train operator warned it wasn't expecting to open the line until 10am.
UPDATE: My colleagues at our Integrated Control are working to try and secure more replacement transport, but this is likely to be very limited. We’re sorry, but if you can make your own arrangements, we would recommend this at the moment. ^CT

Replacement bus services are being set up but are not available for every service at the moment.
Travellers have been urged to check with ScotRail's website for up to date information, however, those who can make other arrangements have been advised to do so.
