A Peebles teenager will stand trial at Selkirk Sheriff Court on a drink driving charge.

Lambert Rattray of Witchwood Crescent, pleaded not guilty to driving with a breath/alcohol count of 41 microgrammes - the legal limit being 22 - in Dalatho Crescent, Peebles, on November 19.

The 19-year-old also denied driving a car away without the consent of the owner, having no licence, no insurance and careless driving on the A703 road where he is said to have caused his vehicle to collide with a fence.

A trial date has been set for December 6.
