PUPILS at Broughton Primary have commemorated the end of the Great War by presenting their own poppies at a local gallery.

Children in the Primary 1/2/3 and Primary 3/4 classes created their own Remembrance designs on canvas using different mediums.

And this week their masterpieces were hung at the village's Hill House Gallery.

Also on display at the Broughton gallery is work by senior pupils at the school who have painted 'women of significance' from the past 100 years.

Barbara Whitten from Broughton Primary told us: "The exhibition brings to an end our project on World War I and women of significance.

"The children have created some fantastic work for the exhibtion."
