A Hawick teenager who sexually assaulted four young females with a pool cue has been placed on supervision for the next 18 months.
Eighteen year old Ethan Cuthbert struck the girls between the legs while their were fully clothed.
The offences happened in the bedroom of his home in Galalaw Road, Hawick, between June 1 and November 11 last year.
A 15-year-old girl told a trial at Jedburgh Sheriff Court how they would visit the teenager's home to listen to music and play pool.
She said the assault happened on several occasions making her feel awkward but she "did not want to make a scene" and "put up with it".
Cuthbert was found guilty of all the charges against him.
In addition to the supervision order, Cuthbert was ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work and to pay £50 compensation to each of the four girls he assaulted.
Cuthbert's name will also be placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
