A PEEBLES man who wilfully cut down a fence in a neighbour ownership dispute has been ordered to pay a total of £800 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Andrew Cleghorn had denied the offence but was convicted after a trial.
It took place on land at Kirkburn Church near Cardrona on May 29.
The 54-year-old was fined £500 and ordered to pay £300 compensation for the damage to the fence.
