A 30-year-old woman has admitted kicking a female police officer on the leg and spitting on her head.
Fay Grieve from Hawick also pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to assaulting another officer, struggling violently with two police constables and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner in Baker Street on September 2.
She also admitted assaulting a woman by pushing her, also in Baker Street on April 15.
Sheriff Peter Paterson expressed concern there had been two separate incidents.
The court was told that Grieve lost her job as a result of the second incident during which she was abusive to police officers.
Her lawyer added that the mother-of-one had not consumed alcohol since the September incident.
Grieve was ordered to carry out 160 hours unpaid work as part of a Community Pay Back Order.
