A YEAR ago when Davina Michelle performed P!nk's hit What About Us on YouTube, the Dutch starlet could never have imagined the success that was to follow.

The commissioned Glamour Magazine video went on to have 13 million YouTube views and 25 million Facebook video hits.

Davina was asked to perform on the most popular Dutch prime time talk show RTL Late Night.

And she was also asked to play in America as well as landing a spot on huge Dutch TV show Beste Zangers.

The release of her single Duurt Te Lang made history as she became the first female Dutch pop star to hit the Number 1 spot since 1978 - and it stayed there for a record-breaking eight weeks.

Davina has since sold out a tour of the Netherlands and P!nk herself has asked her to act as support for part of her Beautiful Trauma World Tour 2019.

Next month, ahead of the P!nk tour, Davina will play two low-key Borders shows - in Ayton and Innerleithen.

John Atkinson from Hemelvaart Bier Café in Ayton saw Davina sing What About Us as part of Glamour Magazine’s video and was blown away by her talent.

He told us: “She has the most amazing voice I have ever heard.

"I was in complete awe and was determined to being her to Scotland”.

John brought Davina to Ayton last May where she played to a sold out audience.

A return show was planned for November - but had to be cancelled due to Davina's hectic workload.

But she will now be returning to Hemelvaart on Saturday, February 16.

John added: “We’re so touched that she wanted to come back.

"She has had so much success in the last 12 months, with much more to come but we have such a special affinity with her now. We hope she will keep coming back”.

The Hemelvaart show has already sold out but Clive Brinck from On The Brinck Promotions has seized the opportunity to arrange an extra date in Innerleithen on Friday, February 15.

Clive told us: “I was amazed when John showed me the videos of Davina’s performances.

"She is stunning, a real superstar.

"I am sure that she is going to be one of the biggest stars in the world and to be able to be part of her journey and bring her to Innerleithen is an incredible opportunity."

Tickets to the Innerleithen show at Memorial Hall are available now via the On The Brinck website (www.onthebrinck.co.uk).

Davina will be supported by rising starlet Beth Macari, whose song Clone featured on Capital FM’s playlist.

Tickets to the intimate Hemelvaart Bier Café show in Ayton are sold out but names can be added to a waiting list by contacting John on 07377 364266.
