PEEBLES choir InChorus is looking for singers who can help them hit the low notes.

The group is inviting any keen singers, both men and women with a low vocal range, to come along to an open evening on Monday, January 28 from 7.30pm.

Choir Manager, Lynne Johannessen said, “Our gentlemen would love to welcome anyone who likes bursting into song, to give new people the opportunity to feel the thrill of singing in the midst of this eighty strong choir of ours at our Monday rehearsal. No strings are attached and there will be no auditions that night. The evening is all about encouraging new folk into InChorus. You’d be amazed at how many of our members confess to only having sung in the shower or car before joining us!”

As InChorus embarks on its second decade, its mission is to continue to develop and improve, to continue to raise money for charities, and to continue to give their audiences the best of performances.

They group are already in the middle of pulling together a full and varied programme for 2019.

Lynne continued, “There is enormous camaraderie and support within the choir, and that, coupled with commitment, pushes us on. It would be wonderful if we could entice a few more tenors and basses to become part of this. I can assure them of exciting times ahead.”

The InChorus open rehearsal will take place on Monday, January 28 at 7.30pm in the MacFarlane Hall behind the Peebles Old Parish Church.
