MEMBERS and friends of the Biggar branch of the South Lanarkshire Conservative and Unionist Association gathered at the Tinto Hotel on Friday evening for their annual Burns Supper.
Among those celebrating the life of national bard Robert Burns were local councillors along with Brian Whittle MSP, David Mundell MP and Scottish Secretary, and Lord McInnes of Kilwinning.
South Lanarkshire Council Conservative leader Councillor Alex Allison and depute leader Councillor Ann Le-Blond helped organise the well attended event, now in its eighth year.
They welcomed colleagues from neighbouring local authorities including Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway
