A 59-year-old woman who was more than four times the legal alcohol limit has been disqualified from driving for 18 months at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Kathryn Campbell of Belford Gardens, Edinburgh, pleaded guilty to the offence in Edinburgh Road, Peebles, and the Tesco car park on January 8.
She had a breath/alcohol reading of 89 microgrammes - the legal limit being 22.
The court was told that police received information about an erratic driver who was heading for Peebles and were waiting for her when she arrived in the town.
Campbell was also fined £400.
