A GALASHIELS man who admitted being in possession of a class A drug in the town centre has been fined £200 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Thomas Taylor, 23, of Laurel Grove, pleaded guilty to having cocaine in his possession in Bank Close during the early hours of December 2.
The court was told there was an ongoing issue regarding class A drugs in Galashiels and police officers spotted the accused at 1.25am acting suspiciously.
He was found to have white powder on his hands said the fiscal and a search recovered cocaine with a value of £40.
