THE trial of a Kelso man accused of an assault and robbery at a local restaurant has been put back until April.
Colin Millar denies assaulting the manager of the Contented Vine in Woodmarket by threatening him with violence and robbing him of £185 on July 14.
The 61-year-old of Farrier Court is also charged with extortion by inducing him to send him a further £60.
The trial was due to take place at Jedburgh Sheriff Court this week but more time has been requested and a new date has been set for April 30.
An intermediate hearing will take place on April 16.
