PASSENGERS waiting in a Peebles bus shelter are being left stranded by blindsided drivers.
Community Councillor Eddie Smith explained that people are using the High Street shelter at the stop outside the County Inn, but with cars now able to park in front of it, the driver isn’t able to see passengers and is driving on.
Concerns have also been raised about Friday afternoon bus services in the town.
Community councillor Les Turnbull said: “There seems to be a gap in the service which seems to have something to do with the schools shutting early on a Friday.”
Tweeddale Councillors agreed to speak to Border Buses to see how the issues could be resolved and report back to Peebles Community Council.
