EVERYONE at The Fiona Henderson School of Dance is celebrating the recent dance exam results.

Once again, pupils have proved that hard work pays off as they maintained the proud tradition of a 100 per cent pass rate.

And to top it off the school was graded full marks by examiners who base the assessment on school facilities, standards and organisation.

The dance school, which is now in its 34th year, received the results in the recent jazz, Highland, tap, modern and ballet examinations.

Fiona Henderson, School Principal, said: “All the teachers are delighted, and we are very proud of all our pupils who worked so hard to prepare for their exams.

“Our exam days are a huge effort for our staff and pupils with over 170 examinations taking place on the day itself.

“I am particularly pleased with the quality of the results. Our pupils achieved outstanding marks, with over 90 per cent of them achieving the top or second highest grade possible which is really fantastic, and they should all be very proud of themselves.”

However, FHSD will not have time to rest, as the dance school is now busy rehearsing for the Junior School showcase.

The talented youngsters will perform All The Stars at the Eastgate Theatre on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday 26.

Then it is back to the theatre the following week for A Million Dreams, the annual performance for the Little Stars pre-school pupils.

Audiences can see the Little Stars showcase on Sunday, June 2 at 2pm.
