THE Met Office has issued a warning for heavy rain during the early hours of Thursday.
And some minor flooding - particularly in Berwickshire - is also expected.
Prolonged rain is forecast from midnight to mid-day.
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency have also issued a Flood Alert for Thursday morning.
Brian MacFarlane from Scottish Borders Council said: "There is going to be a period of prolonged rain, heavy at times that will affect much of the Scottish Borders from midnight tonight until midday on Thursday.
"It is likely that you will see some minor flooding on our roads with potential for disruption to journeys and a risk to low lying land and properties adjacent to rivers."
