NEIDPATH Castle is set to host an intimate gig by Tommy Ashby to raise funds for a mental health charity.

The Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) is set to benefit from ‘The Sessions in aid of SAMH’ after the first event in March raised over £1200.

Tommy Ashby has lent his support and will perform at the stunning venue on Thursday, July 11.

Tommy’s latest EP, Restless Love, has garnered support from Fearne Cotton, Radio 2 and Spotify editorial among others.

Tommy has also toured the UK and Europe with the likes of Rhodes, Tom Speight, Nina Nesbitt and Sean McGowan, as well as playing as a session guitarist on Ed Sheeran's Divided tour last summer.

Created to raise funds and awareness of the charity through a series of fun and engaging events, the Sessions in aid of SAMH is a local events platform which hopes to showcase the Tweed Valley as a destination for talent and help remove the stigma from mental illness.

Tickets are priced at £10 person, including access to explore the castle, with a bar available to purchase drinks on the night.

Tickets are available from The Hub on the High Street Innerleithen (call 01896 209 012 or pop in and see them), Spar Peebles (Glen Road) and online at The Sessions in aid of SAMH event page or by emailing thesessions@hotmail.com
