A MAN and a woman have appeared from custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court accused of being involved in a neighbourly dispute in Galashiels yesterday (Thursday).
Forty-year-old Steven Wright and Louise Poulton, who is 44, are charged with behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting and swearing and making abusive and offensive remarks in Balnakiel Terrace.
Wright - who gave an address in Gallowgate, Glasgow - faces a second charge of painting abusive words and an arrow directed towards a house on a public road.
Both pleaded not guilty to the charges.
A trial date was set for September 24 with an intermediate hearing on September 9.
Wright was granted bail with the special condition not to enter Galashiels until the outcome of his trial.
Poulton was also bailed with the special condition not to enter or approach the house next door to her address in Balnakiel Terrace although she indicated to the court she was moving to Wright's home in Glasgow.
