A PEEBLES man who smashed a window of a car with a brick or similar item has been ordered to be of good behaviour for the next six months at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Thomas Mitchell, 32, of North Street, pleaded guilty to the offence which happened in George Street, Peebles, on April 25.
Procurator fiscal Graham Fraser said there did appear to be a background between the two men involved in the confrontation.
Sheriff Michael Fletcher deferred sentence until February 10, 2020, to "make sure this kind of thing does not happen again".
