AN appeal has been launched to trace a pet owner after a walker was bitten by a dog in Peebles.
The incident happened on the unclassified path between Elliots Park and Rosetta Road around 2.10pm on Sunday, August 11.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A black and brown, large Dachshund type dog bit a walker on the footpath, causing an injury to their calf, for which medical treatment was required.
"The dog owner is described as white female, 5ft 2inches tall, early 50s heavy set with short dark hair and glasses.
"She was wearing dark clothing.
"The dog owner had a second small black dog with long hair with her.
"If you can assist with this enquiry please contact us on 101 quoting incident number 0849 of the August 11.
