A CHEF who drove while disqualified has been banned from the road for 12 months and fined a total of £800.
Ashley Martin, 33, of Larch Grove, Galashiels, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and with no insurance on the A7 between Selkirk and Hawick on August 4.
Not guilty pleas to having no test certificate and possessing cannabis were accepted by the Crown at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
