UP to 40 sheepdogs with their handlers will flock to Manor Valley on October 12 for the annual Manor Sheepdog Trails.

Nearing ever closer to its diamond anniversary, the trials will celebrate its 59th year of testing the skills of sheepdog and human alike and seeing who comes out as top dog.

But it won't just be the dogs in the limelight. There will also be a sheep show where farmers can show off their best livestock. The always popular hill race will also return to Manor alongside a raffle.

The Manor SWRI will also provide all the tea, coffee and food for the day's events.

Rebecca Graham, committee secretary, told us the Manor Sheepdog Trials will be: "A fun filled day for all in the heart of Manor Valley."

The day will begin at 9am and the judging will start at 1pm on October 12.
