THE trial of a motorist from Denholm charged with causing two crashes through dangerous driving has been delayed until the New Year.
Stuart Black is alleged to have committed the first offence on the A68 between Pathhead and Lauder on February 9, 2018, when he is said to have overtaken a car and collided with another vehicles.
The second offence is said to have happened on the A68 between St Boswells and Jedburgh on October 16 last year.
The 31-year-old is charged with falling asleep or otherwise losing control of his vehicle and colliding with an oncoming vehicle resulting in injury to himself and the other driver, with both vehicles being damaged.
Black, of Denholm Mains, has pleaded not guilty to both charges.
A trial was due to take place at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday but due to the non-availability of a medical witness, it has been adjourned until January 14.
