AN archery gold medal winning grandmother at the British Transplant Games is setting her sights on fashion.

Hilde Paxton from Clovenfords, who had a liver transplant shortly after her 60th birthday, struck the bulls-eye at Newport earlier this year.

And the 69-year-old is already preparing to defend her title next year by raising vital funds for her Edinburgh Transplant Sports Team.

Hilde is hosting a fashion show on Saturday, November 23 in Galashiels.

She told us: "Edinburgh Transplant Sports Team has around 30 members from all over the east of Scotland who take part in the Transplant Games.

"An important part of being a member is helping to raise the funds required for sending members to the British Transplant Games."

The Colours Fashion Team will take to the Focus Centre boardwalk on the Saturday for an evening of glamour and casual wear.

Included in the £10 ticket price is a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival.

As well as the fashion show, there will also be a grand raffle and a licensed bar.

Tickets for Hilde's fashion show, which starts at 6.30pm for 7pm, are available from the Salmon Inn and Focus Centre, Galashiels, the Bridge Inn and The Gift Shop, Peebles, or The Hub in Innerleithen.
