EXPECT some rock 'n' roll in Peebles this Bonfire Night.

And all the musical pyrotechnic delights on offer will boost the work of a local charity tackling mental ill-health.

Preparations are well under way for the spectacular fireworks display and bonfire on Saturday evening in Victoria Park.

As well as the Peebles and District Round Table fireworks display, which is yet again sponsored by Stobo, having a Rock of Ages theme there will be an extra special musical guy.

Children at Priorsford Primary have created the king of rock 'n' roll for Saturday.

And there was a whole lot of shakin' going on as Matt Kennedy from the Round Table collected Elvis the Guy this week.

Amidst all the fun on Saturday, this year's display will be supporting the work of the Inspiring Life: Evie Douglas Memorial Fund.

And all donations at the entrance will go towards helping the charity which was founded in memory of Peebles dancer Evie.

The 21-year-old took her own life following struggles with depression.

It is estimated that one in three of us will suffer from some form of mental ill-health during our lives, and the Inspiring Life: Evie Douglas Memorial Fund works to break down the stigmas and provide local support.

The suggested donation on Saturday at Victoria Park is £5, with contactless payment available from the Round Table.

Euan Goddard from Peebles and District Round Table told us: "Don’t miss out!

"Join us in Victoria Park from 7pm for a rockin' night of entertainment.

"To ensure that everyone is kept safe, we ask that sparklers and other pyrotechnics are not brought into the park during the display."
