PLANS for an 11-house development in the village of Broughton have been tabled by social landlord Eildon.
As well as semi-detached two-storey houses, the development next to Springwell Brae also features a wheelchair accessible bungalow, intended for use by a local family.
A full planning application for the three- and four-bedroom properties was submitted with the local authority this week.
A spokesman for Eildon Housing said: "The proposed development will provide high quality, sustainable properties in line with Eildon Housing Association's commitment to invest in and improve its housing stock."
As well as featuring the latest insulation, the properties will also benefit from solar panels for hot water and air-source heat pumps.
The edge-of-village site has been zoned for housing in the Local Development Plan.
Scottish Borders Council will consider the application over the coming weeks.
