21-year-old jailed for delivery lorry cigarettes raid
A 21-year-old man who stole cigarettes from a delivery lorry in West Linton has been jailed for 180 days at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Ross Kennedy of Blantyre, Lanarkshire, pleaded guilty to the theft from the lorry outside the Co-op in Main Street on November 4, 2017.
He was initially given a Community Pay Back Order but after breaching its terms he was brought back to court and given a prison sentence instead.
