INNERLEITHEN Community Council have requested a traffic order for Horsbrugh Street after receiving complaints about it being inaccessible to lorries.
At the Community Council meeting on Monday, November 4, Councillor Stuart Bell raised the issue of parking along the street which restricted access for wider vehicles attempting to the reach Tweedside Caravan Park.
Up to six times a year the caravan park, owned by Linda and Brian Graham, receives deliveries of static caravans and other stock to maintain the business.
With Horsbrugh Street being the main access road for the park, it has been difficult for some lorries to drive through.
The council were given three options to resolve this issue.
Members agreed unanimously to request a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order for Horsbrugh Street for the dedicated delivery days.
Councillor Bell will take the request to SBC and will feedback to Innerleithen Community Council.
