Tweed Theatre’s next audition is for “Whisky Galore” which is a riotous show adapted by Philip Goulding from the original novel by Compton Mackenzie.

This version has seven adult women playing nearly thirty characters between them.

Dodgy accents, fake beards and weird hats are all employed to represent different people, men and women of varying ages and backgrounds, in a fast moving comedy, all based on the idea of a precious cargo of whisky running ashore on a remote Hebridean island and the population gratefully embracing the windfall.

The show's director, Sam French will hold readings on Tuesday, December 3 and auditions on Wednesday, December 4 in the Cross Keys, Northgate, Peebles at 7.30pm for this hilarious all women play.
