STAFF and customers at a Biggar pub have cycled their way to more than £3,000 for charity.
Earlier this year, a group from the Fleming Arms took turns to ride for 30 minutes over 12 hours on two static bikes – to raise the cash for Macmillan Cancer support.
The fundraisers are no strangers to the challenge, having successfully completed it in the past.
And this week, the owners of the pub presented a cheque to the charity for £3,020.
Angela McCormack, area fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Support, said: "Many thanks to everyone who helped make this event such a fantastic success.
"Special thanks to Ian and Fiona Gibson at the Fleming Arms for hosting the event and for all of their hard work.
"At Macmillan, we’re there to help from the moment someone is diagnosed with cancer and the support we provide is vital”.
"It’s only thanks to the incredible generosity of people taking part in events like the Fleming Arms Static Cycle that we’re able to be there for people at the toughest time of their life.
"Whatever cancer throws your way, we're right there with you.
"We provide physical, financial and emotional support to help you live life as fully as you can."
