TITLE-CHASING BSC Glasgow proved too strong for an injury hit Gala Fairydean Rovers at the Indodrill Stadium in Alloa on Saturday.

A flurry of late call offs meant the visitors only had 12 players for what was always going to be a tough fixture.

It proved to be their downfall as another couple of injuries to Tommy Patterson and Levi Kinchant meant Gala played the final half hour

with only 10 men.

Gala gave as good as they got in the opening stages with Zander Murray going close and then skipper Danny Galbraith firing straight at the keeper from 12 yards.

But it was BSC who got the breakthrough in the 25th minute after Thomas Orr latched onto a through ball from Anderson to slip the ball past keeper Fraser Morton.

Gala suffered a further blow when Patterson was stretchered off on the half hour mark with a knee injury to be replaced by Dino Leddie.

BSC remained on top but Gala held out till the interval trailing by only one goal.

However, any hopes of salvaging a point from the trip evaporated shortly after the re-start when they conceded twice in the space of two minutes.

Morton produced a fine save but Orr was on hand to net from close range and shortly afterwards

And Thomas Collins made it 3-0 just a couple of minutes later.

Gala's woes continued when Kinchant limped off but ironically the visitors played better when they were reduced to 10 men and worked hard at trying to reduce the leeway.

However, on the stroke of full time Orr claimed his hat-trick and wrapped up a comfortable four-goal victory for BSC.

The tough fixtures keep coming for Gala as they travel to play Spartans this Saturday.

Then there are two huge derby matches in the pipeline.

Vale of Leithen are the visitors to the Netherdale 3G Arena on Saturday, December 28, kick off 3pm, and the following Saturday(January 4) there is a trip to first-foot Berwick Rangers at Shielfield Park.
