FURTHER snow this morning has led to more school transport disruption.

A yellow weather warning for snow remains in place until 11am today.

So far half-a-dozen school bus routes have been affected with the H02, around Shankend, the S03 and S04 Yarrow valley, the S05 Ettrick, the S15 Lilliesleaf and the S18 Ashkirk services have been cancelled.

A spokesman for Scottish Borders said: The forecast indicates that accumulations of up to eight centimetres are possible, but are most likely on higher ground in the western Borders.

"Local decision making on schools and school transport will apply, as is normal during winter."

All roads in the region remain passable with care, although the A7 between Selkirk and Hawick is reported to be difficult in places.
