FIVE new cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) have been announced.
Two patients are from Fife, one from Grampian, one from Forth Valley, and one from Lothian.
The total number of cases in Scotland is now 11, and in the UK there are now 163 known cases of the virus.
Officials have said Scotland remains in the containment phase of the outbreak.
People are advised to continue following NHS advice on handwashing.
Dr Catherine Calderwood, Scotland’s Chief Medical Officer, advised: “We can all play our part to limit the spread of the virus by washing our hands frequently for 20 seconds as well as always carrying tissues and using them to catch coughs and sneezes, then putting the tissue in a bin, and don’t touch your face.”
