BORDERS residents gave a mass round of applause to NHS staff this evening (March 26).
Streets in Galashiels, Selkirk, Melrose, Peebles and elsewhere joined in the national 'Clap for our Carers' campaign.
It was set up by Dutchwoman Annemarie Plas, who was inspired by the votes of thanks given to health workers in her home country.
The clapping took place at 8pm.
