NHS staff in the Borders are being offered free bus travel.
From March 27, health workers only need to show their employee card to be able to ride services run by Borders Buses.
However, a substantially reduced timetable is now being rolled out by the operator.
The only continuing services are the 51, 60, 67, 70, H1/H2, X62,X95, 235, B1, 267 and 464. All will run with later start times and earlier finishes, with routes limited to the Borders area.
Meanwhile, the following services have been halted: 54, 69, 73, 74, 90A, 90B, 91, 93 and 339.
Another change is the introduction of an emergency service for customers who "have no alternative than to leave the home to visit the shop for essentials - food/prescriptions and attending or going to work at Borders General Hospital or local care homes".
Customers are advised to book their seat/journey by calling 01835 826753. The line will be open between 08.45am and 4pm.
