A hike over the Eildons has been named one of the best summer walks in the UK.
Travel website Wanderlust has drawn up a list of the seven top routes to tackle in the warmer months.
And a traipse up the Eildons, near Melrose, emerged as one of the favourites.
In an article published on March 25, Heather Moat praises the seven-mile walk for its offering of "panoramic vistas".
She writes: "Come in late summer when the heather is in full bloom on the slopes, bag the three peaks and explore the abbey town of Melrose on the River Tweed before following St Cuthbert’s Way back to your starting point."
Among the other locations mentioned in the Wanderlust guide are Anglesey in Wales, Durdle Door in Dorset and Rudyard Lake in Staffordshire.
