HEALTH centres and GP practices in the Borders will remain open on Friday, despite the public holiday.
The early May bank holiday is taking place on May 8 to coincide with VE Day.
But NHS Borders wants to let people know that they will still be able to contact their health centres and practices over the phone.
Patients should not attend in person unless told to do so, according to NHS Borders.
Meanwhile, some community pharmacies will also remain open on Friday.
