THESE dramatic pictures show firefighters tackling a blaze in Galashiels today (May 25).
Walter Baxter, a resident in the town, captured the images this afternoon near Galashiels golf course.
Mr Baxter told the Border Telegraph the fire happened at a Heatheryett Drive workshop formerly known as Tam Bell's storage yard.
He said: "I was driving back into Gala along the Selkirk road when I saw a large plume of black smoke billowing over Blaikie’s Hill."
He added that the fire service attended, along with ambulance and police.
The fire service has been approached for comment.
