FOUR fire engines were sent to the blaze in Galashiels yesterday (May 25), the fire service has said.
Crews rushed to a shed in Hetheryett Drive, near Galashiels golf course, in the afternoon.
Dramatic pictures of the scene were captured by a town resident. No-one was injured, according to police.
Today, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service issued a statement.
It reads: “We were alerted at 3.34pm on Monday, May 25, to a large shed well alight on Heatheryett Drive, Galashiels.
“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene to extinguish the fire.
“Crews left after making the area safe.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Police were called around 3.50pm on Monday, May 25, 2020, following a report of a shed on fire on Heatheryett Drive, Galashiels.
“Officers assisted the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no-one was injured.
"The fire is not believed to be suspicious.”
