A QUESTIONNAIRE has been set up to give Borderers the chance to have their say on the A68 closure.

On Wednesday, part of the route, between Pathhead and Fala, had to be shut after being severely damaged by flooding.

Now roads bosses have created a feedback form to give locals the chance to say how the closure will affect them.

A spokesperson for Amey, which manages Scotland's trunk roads, said: "Severe weather, in the early hours of Wednesday, August 12, resulted in serious damage to the carriageway of the A68/B6367 from Pathhead to the B6458 at Fala Dam.

"This has led to a full closure of the A68 at this location, with a signed diversion route in operation.

"This incident, and subsequent investigation and repair work is impacting local communities, businesses and the travelling public.

"We are keen to gauge the full extent of this impact and understand the concern of local communities."
