TRIBUTES have been paid to a Borders florist who died of a cardiac arrest this week.
Emma McDonald, 29, the owner of Stems in Innerleithen, collapsed while hiking on Monday (August 17).
Tributes have been pouring in for the mum-of-two over the last couple of days.
Among them was a statement on the Stems Facebook page.
The post, published at 3.03pm on August 18, reads: "We're sat here empty, without words for what has happened.
"Emma left us suddenly yesterday, and we are in total shock.
"She was vibrant, healthy, sweary-mouthed, FIERY. A fiercely supportive protector, friend, wife, sister, daughter and mother.
"Words can't begin to describe how much she will be missed by us all. There will be no other.
"To all of her friends, customers, brides and grooms, supporters and colleagues – thank you so much.
"She loved what she did and she put every ounce of herself into everything she set her mind to.
"We will be in touch in due course with all wedding bookings with more information soon."
Friends have now also set up a fundraising page to support her family.
It can be accessed through this link.
