TEMPORARY traffic lights have now been removed from the A68 near Fala.
As previously reported, the road reopened to drivers on Monday – after weeks of repairs following a landslide.
And today (Friday, September 11) contractors were able to take down the temporary lights.
A spokesperson for BEAR Scotland said: "The A68 reopened to traffic on the morning of Monday, September 7, however traffic lights have been in place since then for the safety of workers and road users while surfacing of the footpath, further drainage improvements and landscaping were completed.
"The temporary traffic lights on the A68 near Fala have been removed following the completion of works adjacent to the carriageway. The A68 is now fully open."
