A "MAGNIFICENT" mid 17th-century property is up for sale in the Borders.
Langbank Steading and the adjoining Garden Cottage, near Swinton, are being marketed by Hastings Legal at offers over £925,000.
Property website ESPC describes the listing as a “dream home”. It has six bedrooms and four reception rooms.
In the 19th century, the property was turned into a mill. It later became used as farm buildings, until it ended up falling into a semi-ruinous state in 2006 – when it was rescued by its present owners, according to Hastings.
“The result is a remarkable property comprising two contemporary homes – heated underfloor throughout," Hastings says.
“The reclaimed blonde stone façade, design and assortment of windows styles and sizes reflect what was there before, which ensures this pristine property possesses character as well as style, and wondrous possibilities of what could be.”
