A fourth class at a Glasgow primary school has been advised to self-isolate after a COVID-19 incident.

Three classes at St Marnock's Primary School in Pollok, as well as their households, were told to self-isolate on Monday.

Since then, one class has returned to school however a separate primary class has been advised to self-isolate - bringing the total number of classes to be currently isolating at home to three.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's contact tracing team will now work to identify close contacts to the pupils and members of staff currently in isolation.

Glasgow City Council has provided self-isolating pupils with home learning materials.

A spokeswoman said: “One class is now back following a precautionary period of self-isolation but due to a case in another year group families have been sent information to ask for this class to stay home for 14 days on the back of public health advice."
